Sutter Home reports that one out of every ten bottles of wine opened in the United States is a White Zinfandel. They are by their mere nature somewhat sweet and this offering is no exception. The nose is fresh and lightly fruity. At first taste you will notice it is both semi-sweet and lightly fruity. Generally, strawberry is the fruit flavor described in White Zinfandel and you definitely get that flavor here, though it is not overpowering. There is little to no aftertaste, so the wine does not linger, often the downfall of otherwise tasty White Zinfandels. It can be paired well with foods of all types, but also makes for a great back porch sipping wine.
